Maggie, the pictures of the flood waters ,were taken on the AM tide, the day Sandy hit. The tide had receded some at the time the pictures were taken. I have a few more pictures of the flood waters on my cell phone, that I could send you via text. The water was about 3′ deep at the spot I was standing when I took the pictures.
