I started out today at a historically great weakfish spot. I caught two stripers and one blue fish, but no weakfish. I fished that spot until high tide.For the low tide I headed to Cape May point. I picked a spot that I have caught hundreds of weakfish. I fished two hours with white, chartreuse and pink lures. No hits. I spoke with an avid fisherman, that I know, that has been fishing the area, he had not seen a weakfish this year, yet. There is plenty of big stripers around Cape May for those that fish with clam. I will try that spot again for weakfish when the water hits 60 degress and holds for three days.
